The Zénith de Strasbourg, Zénith Europe, is an implementation of the Communauté Urbaine de Strasbourg
"As the missing link in the broad range of theaters already existing in the Strasbourg area, the Zénith de Strasbourg will become an essential stop for large-scale musical events and international artists.
The quality of the hall, its scenic and acoustic mechanisms and its size are perfectly well adapted to the expectations of Anglo-Saxon artists, in particular, who will make of the European city of Strasbourg a stopping place in their international tours.
Local and regional producers also have, as of the outset, supported the idea of building such facilities. The Laiterie, the Opera or the Philharmonic Orchestra will be regular users of this modular auditorium which will offer the audience irreproachable conditions of reception, visibility, acoustic comfort and safety.
The Zénith will hold up to 12,079 spectators. Destined above all to housing variety shows and present-day musical entertainment, the new facilities will also enable holding various events such as conventions and large-scale sports meetings.
It will offer Strasbourg and its region an exceptional spot in a remarkable landscape and draw a large audience from well beyond the borders of the metropolitan Strasbourg area. It will enhance the cultural, tourist and economic attractiveness of Strasbourg and constitute a veritable asset for spreading throughout Europe.
Favouring environmental-friendly procedures, the construction process, loyal to the "Zénith concept" of quality, modularity, functionality, employs sustainable or easily recyclable building materials as well as energy-saving methods.
The overall construction budget amounts to M€ 48.62, with 68% borne by the Strasbourg Communauté Urbaine and supported by the Government (Ministry of Culture + Ministry of Ecology, Development & Sustainable Infrastructure), the Alsace Regional Council and the Bas-Rhin General Council, and M€ 30 will further be allotted to outfitting the surroundings and access routes. The total amount of investment required will hence reach M€ 78.62."
The Zénith de Strasbourg will be managed, within the framework of a Public Service Delegation, by the firm SNC ZENITH DE STRASBOURG, a subsidiary of VEGA.
